Nominations restarted
The election of the South Central Region representatives on English Council was paused last month while certain elements of the nomination process were reviewed. Nominations have been restarted from scratch.
New Returning Officer appointed. Nominations to restart
Jacquie Gammon has been appointed as Returning Officer for the selection of the English Council reps from South Central Region.
In order to ensure a fair and open contest, it has been decided that the nominations should restart from scratch. Any nominations made previously will need to be resubmitted.
New timetable:-
Restart of nominations (nominations received previously will need to be resubmitted): - December 10th.
Close of nominations: December 18th
In the event of a contested selection (we have more nominations than the number of representatives from South Central on English Council):-
- Deadline for manifestos to the Returning Officer: 10pm 23/12/25
- Voting opens: 9am 27/12/25
- Voting closes: 6pm 12/01/26
